    Zhang Guiping, President of Ge-soft Co.,Ltd., Director of Human-Computer Intelligence Research Center of Shengyang Aerospace University, Dean of North Software Institute analyzed the informationization prospects of the manufacturing industry and introduced knowledge management plans facing to the manufacturing industry in accordance with the present development situations of the equipment manufacturing industry at home and abroad, the distribution conditions of the equipment manufacturing industry of Liaoning, and the present informationization situations and the development trends of manufacturing enterprises in China. President Zhang Guiping also reported that on the basis of technical accumulation and practice application foundation in several years, under the support of National 863 Program, National 973 Program and National Natural Science Foundation, Ge-soft Co.,Ltd.(Human-Computer Intelligence Research Center of Shengyang Aerospace University) committed to the research and development of the products of large-scale manufacturing enterprises for Shenyang and other regions in Liaoning in equipment manufacturing, machine tool, machinery, motor vehicles, steel, chemical industry, civil aviation, etc. and the cooperation and service of businesses at home and abroad; positively researches the establishment, the management and the retrieval applications of the resource information base of the manufacturing industry, the applications of multilingual man-machine coordination translation technology and related systems, and develops the knowledge base and the innovative design platform of the manufacturing industry. Thus, a series of knowledge bases, application systems and service platforms for the collection, processing, management, retrieval, share application, multilingual translation service, etc. for the resource information of the equipment manufacturing industry are formed, which provides the application platforms and the service support for the research and development of the products of the large-scale manufacturing enterprises, the localization of the data introduced from foreign countries, the transform service of the internationalization translation of product export, the external service response of product sale maintenance of the enterprises ,etc. The prospective development target of Ge-soft Co.,Ltd. is that a demonstrative service center for resource collection and processing, the resource retrieval service center of the translation service center and the talent training center of the manufacturing industry will be built in the light of the knowledge management application of the manufacturing enterprises, and the Innovation Software Park of North Software Institute will be built into a creative talent training base for the equipment manufacturing industry of Shenyang.

The representatives also expressed that the development, the combination and the high-effective utilization of the information resources are emphasized in the informationization construction of the equipment manufacturing industry of Shenyang, which enables the information resources to become basic"energy" for supporting the modern industry development. The government and the relevant functional departments should boost the organic combination effects of "informationization and industrialization" to a maximum extent, and the really make full use of the predominance of the high and new technology industry to support and service the economy in good and fast development.

    Zhao Changyi hoped that each relevant department should strengthen the support for the informationization projects of the equipment manufacturing industry developed and constructed by the enterprises, such as Ge-soft Co.,Ltd., cultivate the informationization service institutions of the industries and build a public service platform facing to industry clusters, which provide the technical support for the resource base development in technical research by the enterprises so as to promote the enterprises to improve the self research and development capability and boost the accelerated development of the equipment manufacturing industry of Shenyang.
